Creamy Triple Berry Smoothie Recipe

When learning about health, what's healthy for an average human and how that fits into my life I was very apprehensive. I knew a change needed to be made however it was hard to let go of everything I knew. The first big change I made was breakfast. I knew that having a big meal wasn't needed but I also didn't know any other option that would suffice. It was at this moment I was introduced to breakfast smoothies. Smoothies seemed like a stretch but I was willing to try anything. I am happy I made the transition. It has been amazing for my gut health and assisted with the feeling of sluggishness.

***The Blender will always make a difference on texture***

Ingredients:

- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blueberries)

- 1 banana (for natural sweetness and creaminess)

- ½ cup Greek yogurt (or any yogurt of choice)

- ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

- ½ cup ice cubes (for a chilled texture)

*** If your fruit is already frozen you do not need to add ice

Instructions:

1. Wash and prepare the berries. If using fresh fruit, remove any stems and hull the strawberries. If using frozen berries, no prep is needed.

2. In a blender, combine the mixed berries, banana, Greek yogurt, milk, honey (if using), and vanilla extract.

3. Add the ice cubes to the blender for a thicker and colder smoothie.

4. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of milk and blend again.

5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

6. Pour into a glass, garnish with extra berries if desired, and enjoy immediately!

This smoothie is packed with antioxidants, protein, and natural sweetness—perfect for a refreshing breakfast or snack! 🍓🥤
