Week 1: Where Am I Going

Vision is the first lesson to learn when becoming a new person. I will break this lesson into 4 weeks. That way you will have time to imagine, gain wisdom, and gather the necessary mindset to complete this lesson. Don't worry this is self paced. Ready to see Where you are going?

VISION:

Lesson 1

Before we take a stroll down vision lane, I wanted to give you a broad view of the lane. Vision is the ability to think about or plan the future using imagination, wisdom, and foresight. When starting this journey you first have to decide where you want to go. Are you after luxury, homesteading, minimalist, or modern?

This is the part where you get to use your imagination. Create the exact life you want. Go as big as you want or can dream of. Imagining the future is the fun part. Wisdom comes in when you understand the sacrifices that will come with the vision. More work, less sleep. More planning, less free time. Wisdom is the agreement you make to give up everything you had to gain everything you want. Lastly, vision is foresight. You cannot prepare for every obstacle but you can expect obstacles. Since we know that obstacles are a part of the vision, what is our protocol for handling them?

Am I Strong Enough to Keep Going?

After writing out my vision this week, I expected to walk away with some huge revelation about what I want my future to look like. Instead, I realized something much simpler… I’m already working toward the life I want.

The habits I’m building. The work I’m doing. The way I’m learning to take care of myself. The way I’m becoming more intentional with my time, my money, my relationships, and my purpose. I’m already on the way.

That realization was scary because it brought up a different question: Am I strong enough to keep going?

Am I mentally strong enough to keep going when I don't see results right away? Am I physically strong enough to take care of the body that has to carry me there? Am I emotionally strong enough to keep moving without allowing every setback to convince me to quit? Am I spiritually strong enough to trust the process when I can't see the entire road? Lastly am I financially strong enough to make the sacrifices and decisions required to create the freedom I'm working toward?

Because having a vision is one thing.

Becoming the person capable of living that vision is another.
