Week 4: Vision Boards

Putting Your Vision Board Together

You have your pictures. You have your ideas. Now it’s time to bring them together and create something you can actually see.

1. Give Your Board a Timeline

Before you start placing everything, decide how far into the future this vision represents. Is this a 1-year vision? A 3-year vision? The timeline isn't meant to put pressure on you. It's simply giving your vision a destination.

2. Put It All Together

Now begin placing your pictures, words, quotes, and anything else you've collected onto your board. Move things around until the arrangement feels right to you. There is no perfect layout. Take your time. This is your vision.

3. Beautify It!

Now comes the fun part: make it yours. Add color, stickers, drawings, borders, handwritten notes, paint, glitter, patterns, or anything else that brings your board to life. Beautify it in a way that makes you excited to look at it.

4. Find Your Board a Home

Your vision board shouldn't be created just to sit in a closet. Find a place where you can see it often. Maybe that's beside your bed, in your bedroom, near your desk, or somewhere you spend time every day. If you have a workspace, consider putting it somewhere you can see it while you work. There will be difficult days. There will be moments when you question yourself, lose motivation, or forget why you started. Let your vision remind you.
